Welcome to UI Create

Figma on laptop screen

Hi, welcome to my website and to this corner that I've named 'UI Create'.

Writing blogs feels like a distant memory, having had multiple blogs when I was growing up.

I'm a seasoned graphic designer thats keen on venturing on a new journey of UI design. I've decided to put myself to a UI challenge and to document it! I am looking forward to developing my skills in Figma, actively think about designing with UX perspectives, expanding my creativity and design possibilities and to have fun!

I wasn't sure how I wanted to build a portfolio of work and so I googled and stumbled across UI daily challenges. I found one here.

  • Day 1: Design a login screen for a new social media app.

  • Day 2: Design a checkout flow for an online shopping cart.

  • Day 3: Design a navigation bar for a website.

  • Day 4: Design a search bar for a mobile app.

  • Day 5: Design a button for a call to action.

  • Day 6: Design a progress bar for a loading animation.

  • Day 7: Design a notification system for a messaging app.

  • Day 8: Design a filter system for a photo editing app.

  • Day 9: Design a color scheme for a website.

  • Day 10: Design a typography style for a mobile app.

  • Day 11: Design a wayfinding system for a complex website.

  • Day 12: Design a gamified user experience for a learning app.

  • Day 13: Design an interactive dashboard for a data visualization tool.

  • Day 14: Design a chatbot for customer support.

  • Day 15: Design an augmented reality experience for a marketing campaign.

  • Day 16: Design a virtual reality experience for a game.

  • Day 17: Design a voice-activated interface for a smart home device.

  • Day 18: Design a gesture-controlled interface for a wearable device.

  • Day 19: Design a haptic interface for a physical product.

  • Day 20: Design an olfactory interface for a fragrance product.

  • Day 21: Design a UI for a self-driving car.

  • Day 22: Design a UI for a brain-computer interface.

  • Day 23: Design a UI for a medical device.

  • Day 24: Design a UI for a social impact project.

  • Day 25: Design a UI for a fictional product or service.

  • Day 26: Design a UI for a product or service that doesn’t exist yet.

  • Day 27: Design a UI that is accessible to people with disabilities.

  • Day 28: Design a UI that is sustainable and environmentally friendly.

  • Day 29: Design a UI that is ethical and responsible.

  • Day 30: Design a UI that is beautiful and inspiring.

I know that these challenges are meant to be daily, but I believe to get good designs going, it would take more than a day, and on top of that I'm a full-time graphic designer and mom. I think I'll keep it flexible.

For each challenge, I'll be sharing my designs along with some thoughts and perhaps get some discussion going too.

Watch out for my first design!

The article on UX design components was incredibly useful for my business. I learned how to properly use key UX elements to make interfaces intuitive and user-friendly. The tips on creating clear navigation, visual hierarchy, and adaptability were especially helpful. With this knowledge, I was able to improve the user experience on my sites, increase engagement, and conversions.
